| Details: | The aim of this lecture series is to have an introduction to the theory of iterations of rational functions and its dynamics on the Riemann sphere. Some advanced results of Complex Analysis required for this discussion will be outlined. We plan to cover the basic properties of Fatou and Julia sets, classification of Fatou components of rational functions, the local dynamics near fixed points, rotation domains and circle maps. |
