In this talk I will briefly give an overview of the cosmic history of our Universe. The present observations like supernovae, CMB, gravitational waves etc. tells us about a very unique picture that our universe must have followed. Guided by the principle of general relativity, we are able to model this scenario with some if and buts. The bigger picture of cosmic history in time direction includes inflation, followed by reheating, formation of light nuclei, formation of galaxies so and so and lastly a dark energy dominated epoch ( also birth of Einstein). In each epoch, different energy scale physics is involved. I will review this bigger picture with emphasis on inflation and dark energy along with some brief discussion of the production of baryon asymmetry of our universe. |
