| Details: | In this talk we shall quickly review some basic notions of gauge invariance, Goldstone theorem and possibility of gauge boson mass in quantum field theory. Subsequently, we shall discuss a simple model which shows a beautiful interplay of all these ideas. Namely it a) is a genuine gauge theory, b) realises gauge bosons as Goldstone bosons, and c) has gauge bosons which are massive. Physical realisations of this model, and its relevance will also be discussed. |
