| Details: | This year marks the centenary of the publications that led to the prediction of Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC). After the publication of the Bose statistics in 1924, Einstein applied it to the study of an ideal gas of molecules and found the new state of matter. The BEC was created in experiments. The Nobel prize in physics was awarded to E. A. Cornell, W. Ketterle, and C. E Wieman in 2001. I highlight the role of BEC in Astrophysics in this seminar. |
