Truly of interdisciplinary nature: femtosecond laser pulses have enabled us to not only look at ultrafast time dynamics but also at super-resolution microscopy (2014 Chemistry Nobel Prize) as well as impacted our knowledge on the age-old “slow” thermal processes. In this talk based on references 1-5, I present “glimpses” of our work that transcend across these disciplines.
