| Details: | For every finite simple graph there exists a quadratic monomial ideal which is called the edge ideal of the graph. Recently many researchers have been interested in studying the interplay between the algebra of the ideal and the combinatorics of the graph. In this lecture we shall introduce this area and discuss some open questions. |
