| Details: | Research on two-dimensional van der Waals layered chalcogenides has been on the rise due to their unique optical, electronic and structural properties that holds a great potential for application in electronic and optoelectronic devices. Here, I will present the growth of layered chalcogenide thin films by molecular beam epitaxy. I will touch upon our research on the growth and characterization of material systems ranging from topological insulators, transition metal chalcogenides, and dichalcogenides and discuss several interesting properties of these materials focussing on their structural and transport characteristics. |
