| Details: | In this talk I will describe the experimental as well as theoretical works in our group. The experimental part is about the recent progress we have made in nonlinear optics in the mid-IR region using a free-electron laser in our institute. The theoretical part is about the propagation dynamics of short laser pulses in two completely different media, i.e., metamaterials and dense atomic gas. During my talk I will make best efforts to try to introduce the respective concepts for non-specialists. |
