Frames are extensions of basis and the theory was formulated by Duffin and Schaeffer. But the systematic work began when wavelet frames were developed by Daubechies, Meyer etc. after almost fifty years of the work of Duffin and Schaeffer. The study of Frames in Hilbert Spaces found connections with research in Naimark Rings and Fightinger Conjecture. In this talk we will introduce the concept of frames in Hilbert Space, talk about Erasers and show how developments of analogous studies in Hilbert C* module poses problems and present research to circumvent such problems. We shall also mention about results on perturbations. Frame Theory is now an area of intense research activity and is a subject worth studying for researchers. |
