| Details: | We present a pedagogical description of the recent observations of the supersolid phase of matter in cold atoms. The physical manifestations of the two Goldstone modes from the spontaneously broken internal global symmetry and the phonons from the breaking of translation symmetry are highlighted. The observation of the massive ‘Higgs’ mode is pointed out. Further, we present exact supersolid solutions of a related quantum matter, the so-called quantum droplets. |
