Last couple of years, experimentalists across Europe have reported observations of liquid-like states in binary BEC and dipolar BEC. Theoretically, it has been argued that beyond mean-field interaction plays a pivotal role in droplet formation. In this talk, we have planned to explicate the theoretical model to examine the droplet formation in binary BEC. The binary BEC in quasi-one-dimensional geometry along with beyond mean-field contribution leads to a novel type of nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) which contains an additional quartic nonlinearity. We find out analytical solutions for the cubic-quartic NLSE and investigate the probable scenarios for droplet formation. |
