| Details: | In this presentation, I shall talk about the works included in my thesis. The thesis is based on two essential themes. The first one addresses the problem of spacetime singularities. The second one is related to the late time accelerated expansion of our Universe. The utility of the Raychudhuri equation is explored in these two contexts. The goal is to find possible escape routes from spacetime singularities and an explanation for the late time acceleration of the Universe at the classical level. |
