| Details: | The next generation device applications requires the devices to have ultrafast processing speed coupled with non-volatility, which means beyond charge based storage schemes. In this talk I shall present examples, from my research work on developing interfaces and thin films through physical vapor deposition and epitaxial growth techniques for realizing two important material platforms, namely, spin pumping heterostructures and phase change materials. Furthermore our work towards understanding the electronic and physical structure of these systems will be discussed to demonstrate how efficient material platforms can be designed for ultrafast and non-volatile applications. |
